About the role

As the Business Support Officer, you will assist with the delivery of the administrative service for our agency in Adelaide and will work closely with the team to ensure that administrative support is of the highest standard and in line with our values, purpose and pledges.

Core Tasks

  • To respond to telephone calls, to direct these to staff as appropriate, to take and pass on messages. To always present a professional and helpful image to enquiries.
  • To be responsible for reception of personal callers, deliveries, etc. To ensure that reception is always covered.

· To undertake general secretarial and administrative tasks

· Start and follow up to completion in alerting Staff/Carers/YP to renew their various checks (Working With Children Check, Child Safe Environment Training and First Aid certificates)

  • Updating data base/MYOB re Carer details
  • Attend meetings as directed and take minutes as required.
  • Processing of Accounts Payable/Receivable

The successful candidate will possess

  • Certificates or Diploma in Business Administration – Desirable
  • Demonstrated 1 year experience working in an office environment
  • Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel, Outlook and MYOB
  • Possess excellent organisational and communication skills, be a self-starter with a drive to develop their administrative career
  • Hold a current open Drivers Licence and have access to own motor vehicle
  • To satisfactorily complete personal and statutory checks
