About the role

As a Specialist Senior Youth Worker you will provide direct care services whilst mentoring our team. You will ensure development and delivery of the client's individual care plan and align service delivery accordingly. You will lead Safety planning and positive behaviour planning development and implementation. Support the team with activity and education engagement and family connection work as well as ensuring reporting requirements are met.

You will need to work within Key Assets policies and procedures including child safe procedures.

The successful candidate will

  • Possess the relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant experience required for community services youth work in a remote area,
  • Be willing to travel and service the Kununurra area and surrounding communities,
  • Be highly energised and have a passion for delivering a high standard of service,
  • Be highly committed, resourceful, possess excellent organisational, admin and communication skills,
  • Be skilled at engaging Aboriginal people from a diverse background in a community setting,
  • Current Working with Children Card and be willing to undergo successful statutory checks including the Department of Communities 395 check.
